From May 15 to 16, the “2025 International Industrial Cooperation Conference,” co-hosted by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), was officially held in Singapore. According to a joint press briefing earlier held in Shanghai, more than 600 representatives from China, Singapore, other RCEP countries and regions, as well as Kazakhstan, including government departments, leading enterprises, financial institutions, and legal service providers, attended the event.
In a video speech, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of China and Deputy China International Trade Representative, highlighted the deepening of the all-round, high-quality, and forward-looking partnership between China and Singapore, along with enhanced bilateral trade cooperation. He emphasized that co-hosting the conference serves as a key step in building smooth, stable, and resilient industrial and supply chains in the Asia-Pacific region. China firmly opposes protectionism and unilateralism and remains committed to a high level of openness. He noted that China is ready to work with Singapore and other parties to uphold genuine multilateralism, embrace economic globalization, and promote integrated regional industrial and supply chain development, contributing more stability and positive energy to the region and the world.
This year’s conference featured a combination of high-level discussions and a supporting light exhibition. It included keynote speeches, panel discussions, investment promotion sessions, thematic activities, and business matchmaking, while showcasing achievements in emerging productive forces such as green and digital innovation.
The event emphasized both bilateral and multilateral collaboration, drawing participation from major enterprises and provincial-level governments in China, Singapore, and neighboring countries. Many emerging companies from sectors like new energy and intelligent manufacturing, along with professional institutions, were actively involved.
The conference also underscored collaboration between state-owned and private enterprises, enabling deeper market exploration, technological advancement, and streamlined management processes—driving industrial upgrades and economic transformation.
It further served as a dual platform for both “going global” and “bringing in.” The international stage enabled enterprises to conduct bilateral and multilateral business cooperation and exhibition, while the investment promotion sessions offered Chinese provinces and cities the opportunity to present local policies, key industries, and priority investment projects to Singapore’s business community.
Building upon the achievements of the previous two editions, this year’s conference produced more extensive, cutting-edge, and impactful outcomes. During the opening ceremony, a series of new cooperation results in areas such as green and low-carbon development, urban safety, the digital economy, and financial collaboration were announced. Several bilateral and multilateral trade agreements were signed in the presence of distinguished guests.
