On April 25, the "Zheli Go Global – Training on Origin Compliance and FTA Market Expansion under Tariff Backdrop" was held in Hangzhou, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Zhejiang Sub-Council and the Zhejiang International Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Yan Jia, Vice Chairman of CCPIT Zhejiang, attended and delivered a speech.

With the theme “Understanding Origin Compliance and Empowering Enterprises to Go Global through FTAs,” the training combined both online and offline formats, featured on-site consultation and Q&A sessions, and attracted participation from over 20,000 enterprise representatives and CCPIT personnel.

Mr. Yan emphasized that amid the evolving global landscape and uncertainties brought by the “Trump 2.0” trade policies, as international trade rules are being restructured, it is increasingly important for enterprises to understand origin compliance and seize FTA opportunities. As the legally authorized issuer of certificates of origin, CCPIT is committed to assisting Zhejiang enterprises in utilizing FTA rules of origin, diversifying their markets, strengthening supply chain resilience, and enhancing global competitiveness.

An origin expert from CCPIT Headquarters delivered a special lecture on “U.S. Tariff Policies and Application Guidelines for Rules of Origin,” analyzing U.S. tariff measures from the perspective of goods trade, and offering practical cases and scenarios to guide enterprises in leveraging origin rules to overcome tariff barriers, ensure compliance, and optimize their outbound strategies.

Experts from the Bank of China Headquarters and Sinosure Zhejiang Branch also provided sessions on RMB exchange rate trends and risk management in international trade credit under current conditions, helping enterprises better navigate external challenges.

During the training, experts provided on-site consultation tailored to enterprise needs, addressing issues such as FTA-based market expansion, origin compliance under reciprocal tariffs, risk management, supply chain resilience, dispute resolution, and commercial certification.

This training marked an innovative step in the integrated branding of the "Zheli Go Global" initiative by the Zhejiang CCPIT system. Going forward, CCPIT Zhejiang and the Zhejiang International Chamber of Commerce will continue the “Zheli Go Global” campaign through over 30 events in five major series, aiming to help enterprises mitigate risks, plan overseas expansion scientifically, and tap into diversified markets, thus contributing to the construction of a high-level open economy in Zhejiang.
